“Housing at the Center of the New Urban Agenda” seeks to shift the focus from simply building houses to a holistic framework for the comprehensive development of housing and habitat, based on urban planning and geared towards people and human rights, to promote sustainable urban development. At the local level, the goal is to integrate the concept of housing and habitat into National Urban, Territorial and Land Policies and strategic rationale of planned urbanization.

The objective of this Open Call is to identify, document, disseminate and exchange projects that promote adequate housing and habitat as the drivers of sustainable urban development in Latin America and the Caribbean, within the framework of the New Urban Agenda.
